What are the 7 powers of the Holy Spirit?

The Holy Spirit is not merely a mystical presence but the very breath, wisdom, and power of God working in and through believers. Isaiah 11:2 offers one of the clearest biblical outlines of the Holy Spirit's attributes, describing seven distinct manifestations—often called the seven powers or spirits of the Holy Spirit. These powers were fully embodied in Jesus Christ and are given to believers to live godly and victorious lives. Isaiah 11:2 (KJV)     " And the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord. "           Let’s look at each power in detail: 1. The Spirit of the Lord           This is the foundational presence of the Holy Spirit—the sovereign power of God that rests upon a person for divine assignment. It represents God’s anointing, approval, and presence.   ...

What is the meaning of God's love?

1John 4:8;Romans 5:8; 1John 3:1 The meaning of God's love can be understood through several fundamental aspects: 1. Unconditional and Boundless: God's love is often described as unconditional, meaning it does not depend on our actions or worthiness. It is limitless and freely given. 2. Self-Sacrificial: In Christianity, the concept of God's love is epitomized by the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, who died for humanity's sins. This act is seen as the ultimate demonstration of God's love and mercy. 3. Personal and Relational: God's love is experienced through a personal relationship with the divine. It is an intimate connection that provides guidance, comfort, and support. 4. Compassionate and Merciful: God's love is marked by compassion and mercy, offering forgiveness and understanding, even when we fall short. 5. Transformative and Redemptive: God's love has the power to transform lives, bringing about spiritual growth and renewal. It offers redemption and ...

What does true love really mean?

Many have fallen victim of abuse, molestation and deceit all in the quest for true love. And due to those hurting experiences they went through for love, some said love is a scam while the other ask of what love really mean, probably because there might be a mistake in their first attempt for love that made it not work out for them.   It is obvious that those failed relationships and friendships are because there was no willingness to be selflessly given all for love. But if there is really a true love, then what does it mean? Knowing what it is will help to know one when it comes your way.   True love is a genuine and selfless affection that is willing to give all for the good of another person.    You see, what many thought to be love was centered on their selfish gain, and when what they are gaining from the relationship is no more break-up becomes the option.   There is a person who has loved and given unconditionally. He is worthy of emulation becaus...

What is faith in Hebrews 11:1

We know their is God and that he stays in heaven, and that everything was created by him. The question is, how do we know and what evidence do we have to claim he created all things? That is where faith comes in. Because we have not seen him, the quality of our hope is the evidence that he exists and everything was made by him. Hebrews 11:1-3   The foundation of the human race was built on faith. Because we live with the mindset of a better tomorrow with no idea of what tomorrow has to offer, we hoped for a better tomorrow because we are created to live by faith.    So, if faith is the substance, then the substance I think is refers to the quality of the hope, which there must be a great level of quality to what you believe for it to be called faith.    So think about it, if God can only be pleased by faith, according to Hebrews 11:6, which means what he is looking for is the quality of your belief. That is why Matthew 17:20 talks about the grain of must...

How can we stand for God?

Acts 2:14    This is one of the popular bible stories Christians know, how the disciples were baptized in the Holy Ghost and the supernatural things that began to happen in their lives and ministries after their encounter with the Holy Ghost. But after they impacted the Holy Ghost, they began to manifest to the power of the Holy Ghost through speaking in tongues in Acts 2:1-4.   In the same Acts 2:6-13 the people were amazed and marveled because they speak in different languages, and in verse 14 the bible made it clear that others stood up to mock their encounter with the Holy Ghost, that they were drunk until Peter also stood up  to defend his undeniable encounter and grace he received from the Holy Ghost which led to the conviction of souls to the kingdom of God in verse 41   Christians today are seated while evil is standing boldly and taking over in our world. The manifestation of the Hol...

Life is vanity meaning

The way and manner people do hold onto life, makes me wonder if they have forgotten that life will one day end its journey six feet under. They fight and boost for their achievements, the materialistic things they have, and the power they might have acquired for themselves but still they do not have possession of their lives. Psalms 144:4   Then what is the essence of living life when everything surrounding life and life itself is vanity? Life is not accomplished by living in luxury or poverty, or neither is life favoritism, but life is meant to live up to its purpose so that when life is over those purposes will live forever.     Our evil desires has clouded our sense of reasoning that our center of purpose is focused on pursuing vain things, which in our quest for it done a lot of diabolical things against God and fellow humans for something that is not worth risking for eternity.      There is no single thing about life that will last forever...

How to tarry in God’s presence?

The urgency of people's problems or reasons for coming into God’s presence cannot make God urgently attend to them just because they are in his presence, certainly because God has principles regardless of people's problems.    It is not advisable to be in a hurry when entering into God’s presence, because there is always a time for his visitation. But it has always been difficult for people to tarry when they come into his presence, maybe due to some tough circumstances they are going through that made them want God’s urgent attention towards handling their problems.   So, whenever we find ourselves in his presence, to maintain that connection we must: 1. Know that we are dealing with God     God in Hosea 11:9b made it clear to himself that he is God and not man. So, to enter into his presence we should know it is not the presence of a man. We should not use our human mentality to compare him. He knows something brought us into his presence, and he only k...

Why is desire dangerous?

The reason why desire is dangerous is why the crime rate in each country of the world is going up. When desire becomes uncontrollable, it will certainly lead to a tragic end that may not be easy to survive.   People take risks in doing incredible things just to satisfy that desire they have for something because the thought of committing crimes, getting into toxic relationships, and joining bad peer pressure groups does not suddenly become a lifestyle it was first desired.    Do not forget it was the same desire that made Eve taste the forbidden fruit and give some to her husband which caused them their stay in Eden Genesis 3:6. Also, the same desire made Esau sell his birthright to his younger brother just because of hunger Genesis 25:29-34.   As human beings, what boosts our expectations to push through in life no matter the circumstances surrounding us is the desire we have to succeed. But one's desire can be dangerous depending on what it is bent on, and ...

How will you know them by their fruit?

Embracing Christianity, and living your daily life in accordance to its doctrine changes every aspect of your life which the evidence is by the fruit you produce.     Also, mind you that fruits are not only produced when one is a Christian, because even a non-Christian can equally produce fruit certainly because life was created to produce and to reproduce life which the process of life reproduction is also a season of bearing fruit.    So, Knowing that both Christian and non-Christian can bear fruit, " who are those according to Matthew 7:16a that will know them by their fruits ?" I do not think the scripture was referring to non-christian but to a Christian.    The term "know" is to be aware through observation, making inquiries, and gathering information.     My question is, what observation, inquiry, or information a non-christian can give about Christianity that he is not part of?    To answer the above topic questi...

Is the word of God a sure thing?

Knowing who God is says it all, because if it is his word then it is a sure thing. But most people will ask, why is it not actively working for them in their trialing times? After all, that word of God was given for that very particular difficult situation but it seems like God was not sure when he said a word concerning it.      He said by his stripes am healed(Isaiah 53:5), but I am sick with little chance of survival.    His word confirms providing all my needs(psalms 23:1; Philippines 4:19), but I need so many things and he has not made any provision for any of them.     His word also confirms that for my sake he became poor for me to be rich(2 Corinthians 8:9), but I am not far from wretchedness.      In his word, he guaranteed me his protection( Psalms 91; 121:5-8;) but on several occasions I passed through danger, and I nearly escaped death.     He assured me of help(Isaiah 50:7), but I ha...

What is immortality in the Bible?

The Bible clearly states the fact about the transfiguration of man into an immortal being either into the abode of God called heaven or in the abode of satan called hell. The Bible further explains the afterlife, how the present life will determine the permanent placement of life after death for its eternal existence.      Death is inevitable because it is a price everyone clothed in human flesh will one day pay, but after death, the event of Hebrews 9:27 takes effect immediately to decide the eternal destination of the departed soul.          Also, there is a death that leads to eternal life, and death that leads to eternal death known as the second death(Revelation 20:14-15). Eternal death is a result of a sinful lifestyle lived while on earth because death is the penalty for sin. (Romans 6:23a; Ezekiel 18:4; James 1:15)     To my dear reader, are you a sinner? There is no future for a sinner than eternal death. Of what jo...

Midnight prayer points for mercy

Midnight prayers are spiritually significant because they engage the power of God during the night when spiritual forces operate most actively (Psalm 119:62, Acts 16:25-26). Preparation for Midnight Prayers ● Start with Thanksgiving : Acknowledge God’s mercy and faithfulness (Psalm 136:1). ● Confess and Repent : Ask for forgiveness and cleansing (1 John 1:9). ● Read Relevant Bible Verses : Strengthen your faith with Scriptures about God’s mercy. ● Be in a Prayerful Posture : Kneel, stand, or prostrate yourself before God. Benefits of praying at 12 midnight

We all already know that there are evil activities that take place at midnight, and our safety lies in the power of our prayers. Since the kingdom of darkness operates at midnight, it is our duty as Christians to also stay awake to wage war against their schemes in our lives, destinies, and everything that concerns us.    The enemy can operate at any time; that is why the word of God urged us to stay vigilant at all times because our enemy, the devil, is never tired of trying to harm us. 1 peter 5:8   We will be discussing the benefits of midnight prayer. Prayer should be part of our daily lifestyle because, in the Bible, we are instructed to pray without season according to 1 Thessalonians 5:17    So, the reason for the midnight prayer is that it is the time evil is at work, and to pray at that time is to avert those evil activities from having any effect on our lives.    Acts 16:22-40 revealed the benefit of midnight prayer when Paul and Silas...
