What are the 7 powers of the Holy Spirit?

The Holy Spirit is not merely a mystical presence but the very breath, wisdom, and power of God working in and through believers. Isaiah 11:2 offers one of the clearest biblical outlines of the Holy Spirit's attributes, describing seven distinct manifestations—often called the seven powers or spirits of the Holy Spirit. These powers were fully embodied in Jesus Christ and are given to believers to live godly and victorious lives. Isaiah 11:2 (KJV)     " And the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord. "           Let’s look at each power in detail: 1. The Spirit of the Lord           This is the foundational presence of the Holy Spirit—the sovereign power of God that rests upon a person for divine assignment. It represents God’s anointing, approval, and presence.   ...

5 ways to put God first

Putting God first means making Him the center of your life, seeking His guidance in everything, and aligning your actions with His will. It’s about prioritizing your relationship with Him above all else. Here are five meaningful ways to ensure God remains your top priority.

1. Start Your Day with Prayer and Scripture

One of the best ways to put God first is to begin each day with Him. Before checking your phone, turning on the TV, or diving into daily tasks, take time to pray and read the Bible. Prayer is your direct line of communication with God, allowing you to seek His guidance, express gratitude, and surrender your worries.

Reading scripture helps you align your thoughts with His truth. Verses like Matthew 6:33 remind us, “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” When you make God your first thought in the morning, you invite His presence into your entire day.

2. Seek God’s Will in Decisions

Life is full of decisions—some small, others life-changing. Putting God first means consulting Him before making choices. Instead of relying solely on personal desires or worldly opinions, seek His guidance through prayer and scripture. Proverbs 3:5-6 encourages us, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own  understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.

Before making decisions about your career, relationships, finances, or personal goals, ask:

● Does this align with God’s Word?

● Will this decision draw me closer to God or pull me away?

● Am I making this choice out of faith or fear?

When we prioritize God’s will, we find peace knowing He is leading us in the right direction.

3. Make Worship a Priority

Worship isn’t just about singing songs on Sunday—it’s a way of life. True worship is about honoring God in everything you do, from how you treat others to how you spend your time. Attending church regularly, participating in fellowship, and praising God through music and gratitude are ways to keep Him at the center of your life.

Hebrews 10:25 reminds us not to neglect gathering with other believers: “Not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another.” Worship strengthens your faith, renews your spirit, and reminds you of God’s greatness.

Even in daily activities, worship can be integrated by listening to Christian music, thanking God throughout the day, or reflecting on His goodness in a journal. When you make worship a priority, you naturally keep God first.

4. Serve Others with Love

One of the greatest ways to honor God is by serving others. Jesus Himself said in Matthew 25:40, “Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.

Putting God first means loving others as He loves us. This can be done through acts of kindness, generosity, and forgiveness. Simple ways to serve include:

● Helping a friend or family member in need

● Volunteering at church or a local charity

● Offering encouragement and prayer for others

● Practicing patience and forgiveness, even when it’s difficult

When we selflessly serve, we reflect God’s love to the world. Serving isn’t just about big gestures; small acts of kindness done with love bring glory to God.

5. Align Your Goals with God’s Purpose

It’s easy to get caught up in personal ambitions, but putting God first means ensuring your goals align with His plans. Ask yourself:

● Does my career honor God?

● Am I using my gifts to serve Him?

● Do my financial decisions reflect faith and generosity?

Colossians 3:23 says, “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.” Whether it’s your job, relationships, or dreams, invite God into every aspect of your life.

Putting God first doesn’t mean neglecting responsibilities or personal desires—it means seeking His will in everything. When you surrender your plans to Him, He directs your path and blesses your journey.

Putting God first is a daily choice that requires intentional effort. By starting your day with Him, seeking His guidance in decisions, prioritizing worship, serving others, and aligning your goals with His purpose, you build a life centered on Him.

As you make God your top priority, you’ll experience His peace, joy, and direction in ways beyond your expectations. Are there specific areas where you want to grow in putting God first?

Benefits of praying at 12 midnight

We all already know that there are evil activities that take place at midnight, and our safety lies in the power of our prayers. Since the kingdom of darkness operates at midnight, it is our duty as Christians to also stay awake to wage war against their schemes in our lives, destinies, and everything that concerns us.    The enemy can operate at any time; that is why the word of God urged us to stay vigilant at all times because our enemy, the devil, is never tired of trying to harm us. 1 peter 5:8   We will be discussing the benefits of midnight prayer.
