The saying “mighty man of valor” appears in the Bible, most notably in Judges 6:12, where the angel of the Lord addresses Gideon with these words: “The Lord is with you, you mighty man of valor!” (Judges 6:12, NKJV)

      At first glance, this may seem like an ironic greeting. Gideon was not a warrior at the time—he was hiding in a winepress, secretly threshing wheat to avoid being detected by the Midianites, who were oppressing Israel. Yet, God saw something in Gideon that he did not see in himself. This phrase carries profound meaning in both its immediate biblical context and its spiritual significance.
