God Ordains People to Help You Fulfill Your Purpose
In every person’s journey to destiny, God often doesn’t work in isolation. He uses people—strategically placed individuals—to help us grow, survive, and fulfill His purpose for our lives. These people are called destiny helpers. Whether seen or unseen, known or unknown, these individuals carry out divine roles that open doors, provide support, and bring clarity to our path.
Throughout Scripture, we find examples of destiny helpers—people who stepped into others' lives at crucial times and made a difference. Recognizing and praying for the manifestation of such people is essential for every believer who desires to walk in God’s purpose.
Let’s explore the 7 biblical types of destiny helpers that God uses to elevate His people.
1. Burden Bearers (Spiritual and Emotional Supporters)
These helpers carry your burden, stand with you in times of spiritual warfare, and support you when you’re weak.
Aaron and Hur supported Moses during Israel’s battle against Amalek. As long as Moses’ hands were lifted, Israel prevailed. When he became tired, Aaron and Hur stood by him, holding up his arms.
“But Moses' hands were heavy… and Aaron and Hur stayed up his hands, the one on the one side, and the other on the other side.” – Exodus 17:12
You need to understand, that in your life, there are friends, mentors, or intercessors who stand in the gap for you through encouragement and prayer. Without them, your strength may fail at critical moments.
2. Divine Connectors (People Who Introduce You to Opportunities)
These are people who introduce you to someone or something that moves your life to the next level.
Do you remember, the servant girl in Naaman’s household who played a small yet life-changing role? She told her mistress about the prophet in Israel who could heal Naaman's leprosy. Her words connected Naaman to the prophet Elisha, which led to his healing.
“And she said unto her mistress, Would God my lord were with the prophet… for he would recover him of his leprosy.” – 2 Kings 5:3
Never despise small relationships. Sometimes, the person with the key to your next level might be a housemaid, a colleague, or a stranger.
3. Financial Helpers (Kingdom Sponsors)
These destiny helpers use their wealth or resources to support your life, ministry, or calling.
For example:
* Someone like Joseph of Arimathea provided his tomb for Jesus' burial.
* Women like Joanna and Susanna financially supported Jesus' ministry from their resources.
“He went to Pilate and begged the body of Jesus…” – Matthew 27:58
“And Joanna... and Susanna, and many others, which ministered unto him of their substance.” – Luke 8:3
These helpers may not preach or teach, but they make ministry and progress possible through provision.
4. Mentors and Teachers (Wisdom Givers)
These people train, guide, and pour wisdom into your life so that you can reach your full potential.
Mordecai mentored Esther. He instructed her on how to behave, what to say, and how to approach the king. Through his wisdom, Esther saved her people.
“Then Mordecai commanded to answer Esther, Think not with thyself that thou shalt escape… but thou and thy father's house shall be destroyed.” – Esther 4:13-14
Every great leader was once a student. The right mentor positions you for favor and trains you to handle responsibility.
5. Gatekeepers (Decision-Makers and Elevators)
These are people placed in positions of influence who can approve, promote, or endorse your destiny.
In the bible, Pharaoh was the key person God used to lift Joseph from the prison to the palace. Though Pharaoh didn’t know God personally, he was instrumental in Joseph’s destiny.
“Thou shalt be over my house, and according unto thy word shall all my people be ruled.” – Genesis 41:40
Sometimes, your destiny helper might be a boss, official, or influencer who uses their authority to lift you up. Pray for favor with such people.
6. Prophetic Voices (Divine Guidance and Direction)
Prophets and spiritual leaders who reveal God’s will and guide you into your divine calling.
Samuel played a pivotal role in anointing both Saul and David as kings of Israel. His prophetic declarations confirmed their destiny.
“And Samuel took a vial of oil and poured it upon his head…” – 1 Samuel 10:1
“Then Samuel took the horn of oil, and anointed him in the midst of his brethren…” – 1 Samuel 16:13
A word from God through the right prophetic voice can change your life forever. Cherish those who speak truthfully into your life.
7. Buried Treasures (Hidden or Unlikely Helpers)
Sometimes, helpers come in unexpected forms—people who may appear unimportant, even enemies, but are used by God.
An Egyptian slave left to die in the desert helped David find the Amalekites who had raided Ziklag. He became the key to recovering all.
“And when he had eaten, his spirit came again to him… And David said to him, Canst thou bring me down to this company?” – 1 Samuel 30:12-15
Your helper may not look like much. Discernment is key. Some helpers are disguised in pain, betrayal, or brokenness.
How to Activate Your Destiny Helpers
1. Pray for Divine Connections:
Ask God to connect you with the right people at the right time.
2. Be Sensitive and Humble:
Helpers may come in humble packages. Avoid pride.
3. Honor and Value Relationships:
Destiny helpers are human. Dishonor can drive them away.
4. Sow into Lives:
Sometimes, helping others first opens the door to being helped.
Prayer Points to Attract Destiny Helpers
1. Father, connect me with the men and women you have ordained to help me fulfill my destiny in Jesus’ name.
2. Lord, open my spiritual eyes to recognize my destiny helpers and not miss my moment of divine connection.
3. I cancel every satanic agenda assigned to separate me from my God-ordained helpers, in Jesus' name.
4. Every spirit of pride or offense that will hinder me from receiving help, be broken in Jesus’ name.
5. Father, make me a destiny helper to others, so I may also be helped when my time comes.
Conclusion: Be a Helper, Seek a Helper
God has placed destiny helpers along the path of every believer. Your prayer should not only be to receive help but also to become one for others. As you walk in obedience, humility, and prayer, the Lord will order your steps and align you with people who will speak, lift, and carry you into your God-ordained future.
“I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the LORD.” – Psalm 121:1-2
Be ready. Your helper may appear today.
