How to explain Jesus to a 5 year-old

Who Is Jesus? A Special Friend Who Loves You

Do you know someone who loves you very, very much? Maybe your mom or dad? That’s how Jesus feels about you — He loves you even more than anyone else ever could!

Jesus is very special. He is God’s Son. That means He came from Heaven to show us how much God loves us. A long time ago, Jesus was born as a little baby, just like you were! He didn’t come with fancy clothes or a shiny crown. He was born in a quiet place called a manger, where animals lived. Even though He was a king, He came in a humble way to be close to us.

Jesus Grew Up Like You

Jesus grew up like other children. He learned to walk, to talk, to help His mom and dad. He listened to His parents, and He loved to talk to God, His Father in Heaven. He always did what was right and kind.

As Jesus got older, He began to teach people about God. He told them that God loves everyone, even when they make mistakes. Jesus helped sick people feel better. He made sad people happy again. He was never mean or angry without a good reason. He forgave people and helped them live better lives.

Jesus Told Special Stories

Jesus liked to tell stories called parables. These stories helped people understand what God is like. In one story, Jesus said that God is like a shepherd who looks for His lost sheep. That means God never forgets about us — even if we get lost or do something wrong, He still comes looking for us because He loves us so much!

Why Did Jesus Die?

One very important thing Jesus did was die on the cross. That might sound scary, but it was part of God’s big plan. You see, sometimes people do bad things called sins. Sin makes our hearts dirty and keeps us far from God. But Jesus never sinned — not even once. He took the punishment for our sins by dying on the cross. That way, we could be clean again and close to God.

Jesus Came Back to Life!

The best part of the story is that Jesus didn’t stay dead. After three days, He came back to life! He showed His friends that He was alive. They were so happy! Jesus promised that one day, everyone who believes in Him will get to live with Him forever in Heaven, where there’s no sadness, no pain, and no tears — only joy and love.

Jesus Wants to Be Your Friend

Even though you can’t see Jesus with your eyes, He is always with you. He listens when you talk to Him. That’s called praying. You can talk to Jesus about anything — when you’re happy, sad, scared, or thankful.

Jesus loves it when you’re kind to others, share your toys, obey your parents, and help your friends. When you do those things, you are showing Jesus’ love to the world.

You can say something like this if you want to be close to Jesus:

“Jesus, I love You. Thank You for loving me. Please help me to be kind and to follow You. Amen.”

Always Remember

● Jesus loves you always.

● He is your best friend.

● You can talk to Him anytime.

● He will never leave you.

So whenever you see the sun shine, hear birds sing, or feel happy inside, remember that Jesus is smiling at you and saying, “I love you.”

Benefits of praying at 12 midnight

We all already know that there are evil activities that take place at midnight, and our safety lies in the power of our prayers. Since the kingdom of darkness operates at midnight, it is our duty as Christians to also stay awake to wage war against their schemes in our lives, destinies, and everything that concerns us.    The enemy can operate at any time; that is why the word of God urged us to stay vigilant at all times because our enemy, the devil, is never tired of trying to harm us. 1 peter 5:8   We will be discussing the benefits of midnight prayer. Prayer should be part of our daily lifestyle because, in the Bible, we are instructed to pray without season according to 1 Thessalonians 5:17    So, the reason for the midnight prayer is that it is the time evil is at work, and to pray at that time is to avert those evil activities from having any effect on our lives.    Acts 16:22-40 revealed the benefit of midnight prayer when Paul and Silas...
