Benefits of the power of God

        The power of God is a divine reality that transcends human understanding. It is not merely a display of might or strength—it is the very essence of God’s ability to sustain, transform, redeem, protect, and fulfill His divine purposes in creation and in the lives of His people. When we speak of the power of God, we are referring to the supernatural, awe-inspiring force that governs the universe and reveals His glory.

        Throughout Scripture, the power of God is demonstrated in countless ways—from the creation of the world to the resurrection of Jesus Christ. But beyond these mighty acts lies a profound truth: God's power is not distant or abstract. It is present, active, and available to His children. This power is not just for miracles or signs, but for the daily sustenance of the believer’s soul and for the advancement of God’s Kingdom.

1. Creation and Sustenance of Life

        The first manifestation of God’s power is seen in creation. “By the word of the Lord were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth” (Psalm 33:6). Everything that exists owes its existence to the creative power of God. He spoke, and it was done. The stars, the seas, the mountains, the creatures—all are sustained by His eternal power.

        Colossians 1:17 declares, “And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.” God’s power not only created the world but kept it in motion. The breath in your lungs, the beating of your heart, the rising of the sun—all are constant witnesses to the unfailing power of God.

The woman with the issue of blood in Mark 5 felt healing virtue (power) flow from Jesus the moment she touched His garment. The power of God brings wholeness whereas the world brings brokenness.

        God’s power is not meant to be hidden. In Acts 1:8, Jesus told His disciples, “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me…” This boldness is not from personality, training, or eloquence—it is from the Spirit.

Jesus said in John 10:28, “I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.” This is the security of the believer—not in their ability to hold on to God, but in God’s power to hold on to them.

        Philippians 3:21 tells us that God “shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.” The same power that raised Jesus will raise the saints. The same power that created Eden will recreate a new heaven and earth. The glory to come is secured by the power of the Almighty.

         The power of God is not a theological idea or abstract concept—it is a living, active, personal force flowing from the heart of the Almighty. It is holy, irresistible, infinite, and unchanging. It brings life where there is death, strength where there is weakness, hope where there is despair, and glory where there is shame.

        To know God is to know His power. To walk with Him is to walk in that power—not by might, nor by human strength, but by His Spirit.
