What are the 7 powers of the Holy Spirit?

The Holy Spirit is not merely a mystical presence but the very breath, wisdom, and power of God working in and through believers. Isaiah 11:2 offers one of the clearest biblical outlines of the Holy Spirit's attributes, describing seven distinct manifestations—often called the seven powers or spirits of the Holy Spirit. These powers were fully embodied in Jesus Christ and are given to believers to live godly and victorious lives. Isaiah 11:2 (KJV)     " And the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord. "           Let’s look at each power in detail: 1. The Spirit of the Lord           This is the foundational presence of the Holy Spirit—the sovereign power of God that rests upon a person for divine assignment. It represents God’s anointing, approval, and presence.   ...

The speaking power of an altar

In Scripture, altars are not just physical structures made of stones or wood; they are spiritual gateways—places of covenant, sacrifice, and communication between the spiritual and physical realms. The Bible shows that altars have a voice. They can "speak" for or against individuals, families, or nations depending on the covenant tied to them.

In this teaching, we will know the speaking power of altars in the Bible, how they influence destinies, and what believers must know to either benefit from godly altars or break free from evil ones.

1. What Does It Mean That an Altar Can "Speak"?

To say an altar "speaks" means it testifies or makes a spiritual declaration on behalf of those connected to it. It can speak:

● Mercy or judgment (Hebrews 12:24)

● Deliverance or bondage

● Blessing or curse

Altars are spiritual legal grounds, and the sacrifices made upon them invoke voices—either God's or the enemy's.

2. Biblical Examples of Speaking Altars

a. Abel's Blood and Altar (Genesis 4:10)

“The voice of your brother’s blood cries out to Me from the ground.”

Abel offered a righteous sacrifice on an altar, and even after death, the altar and the blood cried out to God. That was a speaking altar of justice.

b. Noah's Altar (Genesis 8:20–22)

“Then Noah built an altar to the Lord… And the Lord smelled a soothing aroma.

Noah’s altar spoke peace and reconciliation. As a result, God made a covenant with creation not to destroy the earth with a flood again.

c. Elijah’s Altar (1 Kings 18:30–39)

Elijah rebuilt the broken altar of the Lord and called down fire from heaven. That altar spoke of:

● God’s supremacy

● Deliverance of Israel

● Judgment against Baal

It silenced demonic altars and restored spiritual order in Israel.

d. Gideon’s Altar (Judges 6:24)

Gideon built an altar and called it Jehovah Shalom (The Lord is Peace). That altar spoke of divine assurance, protection, and victory even before the battle.

3. Evil Altars Also Speak

Just as godly altars speak blessings, demonic altars also speak—but they declare curses, affliction, and destruction.

a. Balaam’s Altars (Numbers 23)

Balak built seven altars to curse Israel through Balaam. These were altars of enchantment, trying to speak against God's people.

        But God overturned them:

“There is no enchantment against Jacob...” (Numbers 23:23)

b. Jeroboam’s Altar (1 Kings 13:1–5)

Jeroboam made a false altar for idolatry. A man of God prophesied judgment:

“O altar, altar, thus says the Lord...” (v.2)

The altar split open, showing that even physical altars respond spiritually.

4. The Ultimate Speaking Altar – The Blood of Jesus

Hebrews 12:24 (KJV)

“...to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.

Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross became the final altar, and His blood still speaks today:

● Mercy over judgment

● Healing over sickness

● Forgiveness over condemnation

No altar—demonic or ancestral—can overpower the voice of the blood of Jesus.

5. Characteristics of a Speaking Altar

● Voice Altars speak spiritually—either life or death.

● Sacrifice Every altar is powered by sacrifice.

● Covenant Altars establish or enforce spiritual covenants.

● Memory Altars are memorials—they “remember” transactions.

● Gateways Altars connect the spiritual realm with the natural.

6. How to Silence Evil Altars

1. Repent and renounce any known ancestral or personal covenants (2 Corinthians 5:17).

2. Raise a godly altar through prayer, worship, and sacrificial obedience (Romans 12:1).

3. Plead the blood of Jesus—His altar speaks eternally (Revelation 12:11).

4. Break demonic legal grounds using Scripture (Colossians 2:14–15).

5. Destroy physical items tied to evil altars (Deuteronomy 7:5–6).

Altars are spiritual structures that transcend time. Whether knowingly or unknowingly, every person is connected to some altar—ancestral, personal, or divine. But as believers in Christ, we must choose to align with the eternal speaking altar of Jesus’ blood, which has the power to override all evil voices.

“For they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony...” Revelation 12:11

Benefits of praying at 12 midnight

We all already know that there are evil activities that take place at midnight, and our safety lies in the power of our prayers. Since the kingdom of darkness operates at midnight, it is our duty as Christians to also stay awake to wage war against their schemes in our lives, destinies, and everything that concerns us.    The enemy can operate at any time; that is why the word of God urged us to stay vigilant at all times because our enemy, the devil, is never tired of trying to harm us. 1 peter 5:8   We will be discussing the benefits of midnight prayer. Prayer should be part of our daily lifestyle because, in the Bible, we are instructed to pray without season according to 1 Thessalonians 5:17    So, the reason for the midnight prayer is that it is the time evil is at work, and to pray at that time is to avert those evil activities from having any effect on our lives.    Acts 16:22-40 revealed the benefit of midnight prayer when Paul and Silas...
