Prayer against death of children

Children are a heritage from the Lord (Psalm 127:3). God loves children and has divine purposes for their lives. The enemy, however, often targets them—just as Pharaoh and Herod sought to kill children in the Bible—because of the destiny they carry. But as believers, we are called to stand in the gap and cover our children in fervent prayer.

Psalm 91:10 – “No evil shall befall you, nor shall any plague come near your dwelling.

Biblical Foundations Against Child Death

1. Jesus’ Love and Protection for Children

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to Me…” (Matthew 19:14). He affirmed their value and spiritual worth. Therefore, we have the divine right to invoke protection over their lives.

2. God’s Covenant of Life

Deuteronomy 30:19 – “I have set before you life and death... therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live.

When we choose life in Christ, it includes the preservation of our children. This covenant must be enforced in prayer.

3. Biblical Example: God Saved Moses

Pharaoh issued a death sentence on Hebrew male babies, but God preserved Moses through divine intervention (Exodus 2). Likewise, no decree of darkness shall prosper over our children.

Prayer Points Against Death of Children (with Scriptures)

1. Prayer of Thanksgiving and Surrender

Psalm 100:4 – “Enter his gates with thanksgiving…

Prayer:

Father, I thank You for the gift of children. You are the Giver and Sustainer of life. I surrender my child(ren) into Your mighty hands. I acknowledge that You love them more than I do. Be glorified in their lives, O Lord.

2. Prayer for Protection and Covering

Psalm 91:11 – “For He will command His angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways.

Prayer:

Lord, release Your angels to watch over my children. Let every plan of premature death be scattered. Let Your fire surround them, and no evil shall touch them day or night.

3. Prayer to Cancel Demonic Assignments

Isaiah 8:10 – “Devise your strategy, but it will be thwarted; propose your plan, but it will not stand, for God is with us.

Prayer:

In the name of Jesus, I cancel every plan of the enemy against my child’s life. Every spirit of death and accident is arrested and bound. No weapon formed against my children shall prosper.

4. Prayer for Long Life and Destiny Fulfillment

Psalm 118:17 – “I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.”

Prayer:

My child(ren) shall not die but live to fulfill their destiny. I decree divine health, strength, and wisdom. They will grow in stature and favor with God and men, like Jesus (Luke 2:52).

5. Prayer to Break Generational Curses of Death

Galatians 3:13 – “Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law…

Prayer:

I break every generational curse of premature death in my family line. Because of the blood of Jesus, my child is set apart. No ancestral altar or bloodline covenant shall speak death over them.

6. Prayer for Discernment and Spiritual Watchfulness

1 Peter 5:8 – “Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion…

Prayer:

Lord, open my eyes to see any traps of the enemy. Give me spiritual sensitivity to know when to intercede. I declare that I will not be spiritually asleep when the enemy attacks. Make me a watchman over my child’s life.

7. Prayer Against Evil Dreams, Attacks, and Manipulations

Job 33:15–18 – “In a dream… He may speak… to preserve man from the pit.

Prayer:

Every evil dream, manipulation, or attack targeted at my children—whether by night or day—is cancelled in Jesus’ name. No arrow of the night shall come near them. Lord, reveal and reverse every hidden plan of destruction.

8. Prayer for Healing and Health

Jeremiah 30:17 – “But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds, declares the Lord.

Prayer:

I declare divine healing over my child. Sickness will not be their portion. Whether physical, emotional, or spiritual infirmity, it is uprooted in Jesus’ name.

Declarations Over Children (Say Aloud in Faith)

● My children shall live and not die in Jesus’ name.

● I cover them with the blood of Jesus from the crown of their heads to the soles of their feet.

● They will grow in health, wisdom, and the fear of God.

● No evil hand will touch them.

● Their names will not be mentioned in death or tragedy.

● They are marked with the seal of the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 1:13).

● Angels are on assignment for their safety.

● The spirit of untimely death has no place in their lives.

● They will fulfill all of God’s plans for them on earth.

Psalm 91 Protection Scripture (Pray Daily Over Your Child)

Psalm 91:1-7 (Paraphrased as a prayer):

He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

I say of the Lord, "He is my child’s refuge and fortress; God in whom we trust."

Surely He shall deliver my child from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence.

He shall cover them with His feathers, and under His wings shall they take refuge.

No evil shall befall my children, nor shall any plague come near their dwelling.

A thousand may fall at their side, and ten thousand at their right hand; but it shall not come near them.

 What You Can Do Practically

● Anoint your children regularly (Exodus 30:31–32) for protection and consecration.

● Pray aloud over them before sleep and as they go out each day.

● Teach them to pray and to call on Jesus’ name (Proverbs 22:6).

● Reject fear and fill your home with scriptures and worship.

● Fast and intercede, especially if you notice evil patterns (e.g. recurring dreams, sickness, and family history of child deaths).

Beloved, God is faithful. He did not bring your children into the world to be snatched by the enemy. Through the power of the Word and prayer, you can stand in the gap and preserve their lives.

Isaiah 54:13 – “All your children shall be taught by the Lord, and great shall be the peace of your children.”

You are not powerless. Speak life, declare the Word, and silence every voice of death.
