Every believer has experienced a moment when life feels like it suddenly moves backward instead of forward. You pray, you fast, you obey God faithfully—yet instead of open doors, you face closed ones. Instead of breakthroughs, you face barriers. Instead of harvest, you face a delay.
But in the kingdom of God, a setback is never the end. It is often the holy ground where God shapes men and women for divine promotion. A setback in God’s agenda is a setup for something greater. When God allows you to drop into a valley, it is because He wants you to rise with a testimony the mountain cannot produce.
The Bible consistently shows that God tests, molds, prunes, strengthens, and refines His children through seasons of setback. Not to destroy them, but to prepare them for weightier glory.
