What are the 7 powers of the Holy Spirit?

The Holy Spirit is not merely a mystical presence but the very breath, wisdom, and power of God working in and through believers. Isaiah 11:2 offers one of the clearest biblical outlines of the Holy Spirit's attributes, describing seven distinct manifestations—often called the seven powers or spirits of the Holy Spirit. These powers were fully embodied in Jesus Christ and are given to believers to live godly and victorious lives. Isaiah 11:2 (KJV)     " And the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord. "           Let’s look at each power in detail: 1. The Spirit of the Lord           This is the foundational presence of the Holy Spirit—the sovereign power of God that rests upon a person for divine assignment. It represents God’s anointing, approval, and presence.   ...

The bitter truth

The day of death is always unknown neither does death come at old age. Each day that passes by is a day to die, but if it does not quickly come then always have it in mind that it will come whether you are ready or not because it is the only visitor that takes its host unaware. And as far as we are covered in flesh we host death.    In some parts of the world, the funeral is one of the most expensive events and also an event both the family hosting and the attendees cry over the demise of their loved ones.    Death causes us pain, but who should  be blamed  for it? No one should lose their loved ones in the hands of death or have anything to do with death but it still ends lives unexpectedly. Death is also so cunning and crafty that it doesn’t announce its presence until it ends one’s life. But does it mean death is deaf? It knows how to end lives, it should also know how to consider or have pity when the living weep for the death to come back...

Bible is still changing lives

The Bible is the director and instructor of God’s word. It is the revealer of the past, present, and future. It is also capable of changing and transforming lives because its authors were highly gifted, inspired, and spirit-filled by God to write according to His divine will.  2Timothy 3:16-17;2Peter 1:20; Romans 15:4 .    It takes men spiritually embodied, highly inspired, and divinely gifted by God to write life-filled words that have been and are still changing, and transforming lives from generation to generation.   Having and reading the Bible is a collective sacrifice made by people who freely gave up their lives for the spread of the gospel. Their lives, determination, sacrifices, and death for the gospel is the Bible.   So, the Bible is a book that teaches about: - Life   It is a book that was laid on the foundation of life. It brings anything dead back to life because the authors first received the birth of the Holy Spir...

School of God’s Will part 1

Life has too many definitions, but if God tells you the very meaning of your own life then you live your life knowing your worth, and where to invest it which you cannot possibly find or know such life-changing meaning outside the school of God’s will.   No human is existing by his own will. Since God alone is the source and sustainer of life then man needs life manuscript to maintain and fulfill, and for the author of life (God) to give such knowledge to man, he must first of all be admitted into the school of His will to acquire knowledge that will unveil the very purpose of God for his life.  Note: To go to school is wisdom, but whatever you learn from school is knowledge. It is wisdom for you to know that you don’t know anything and can not possibly go far in life without God. It is also an act of knowledge to know you do not know anything and seek to learn from God, who knows it all.  God is wisdom, and wisdom does not make mistakes in His decisions, and H...

The true dedicated shepherd

A shepherd is commissioned by God to feed His sheep and to make sure of the sheep's spiritual and physical well-being, which God made a shepherd's major responsibility because it is the reason why He called and ordained him to serve. A shepherd takes a heavenly oath to serve and not to be served, to lead with an example and not to mislead his followers, and even lay down his life to accomplish his divine mandate.     God is selective in choosing the persons to take care of His sheep because the spiritual and physical healthiness of His sheep is His ultimate concern. A person who knows what it takes to care, organize, cooperate, and build up with the same principle given by Him who called for leadership.         Also, God does not select a man and send him out without training because a kingdom shepherd should know he's not meant to eat sheep under his watch, but he has to serve and save the sheep going astray into the marvelous light of...

Not really save at home

Have you ever wondered why so many people left their homes for so many years without thought of going back? And why are they always afraid when it is to go back?  Some have one or two reasons why going back home is not an option but it all states the fact that no one is safe at home because nobody is without a home but the battle at home made it unsafe.    At home life was convinced, carried for nine months, and at the comfort of home delivered life at its due time, also nurtured to growth and guided to live for its divine mandate from home – It all started from home but now the same home is regarded as an unsafe place because enemies invaded it.    If a home was in order, God would not have been suffering a loss at all. Enemies would not have been reigning at home, but since home is not in order the enemies dwell and reign at home.  Note: That home is unsafe today is also the reason why the world is unsafe . So, a.   Why is home not safe ? i. Th...

A True Friend will always be there for you

Do you know that there is a great difference between a friend and a TRUE friend?            A  friend may care for you, a friend may know you BUT your true friend loves you, cares for you, knows you, thinks about you, corrects your mistakes, leads you to your future, and wishes the best for you always.    I classify friends into three sets: 1)the first set is the ones you have nothing to do with, you only chat with them. They are not your enemies so they are your friends. 2)The second set is the ones you are very close to. They are usually referred to as BEST FRIENDS . 3)The third set is the ones you are in a relationship with.    Among these three sets, the second set seems to be the best but still classify them into: A PEN FRIEND:   This is a friend you do not see physically, you only communicate with them through letter writing. A FAIR WEATHER FRIEND :  This is a false friend that appears to be a tru...

On the highway of life without God

“ There was a well-known young commander during the 70’s and 80’s in Africa. He was known for his position in the army and also for his generosity.  After the civil war in his country, he got an opportunity to travel out from Africa to a Western country.  He threw a party for that, but after the party, he mysteriously became mad till his 70s and died in the year 2022. He never traveled again neither did he  marry nor have children to continue his lineage but ran mad throughout his lifetime”. Also,      “ Many decades ago also in Africa, a poor brilliant secondary school girl was chosen to take part in an international scholarship exam in which any student that takes the first position will further his/her university level abroad.  This young lady passed the exam, and her secondary school head teacher tried to convince her to let her daughter go in her place which she refused. On the day the winner of the...

Benefits of praying at 12 midnight

We all already know that there are evil activities that take place at midnight, and our safety lies in the power of our prayers. Since the kingdom of darkness operates at midnight, it is our duty as Christians to also stay awake to wage war against their schemes in our lives, destinies, and everything that concerns us.    The enemy can operate at any time; that is why the word of God urged us to stay vigilant at all times because our enemy, the devil, is never tired of trying to harm us. 1 peter 5:8   We will be discussing the benefits of midnight prayer. Prayer should be part of our daily lifestyle because, in the Bible, we are instructed to pray without season according to 1 Thessalonians 5:17    So, the reason for the midnight prayer is that it is the time evil is at work, and to pray at that time is to avert those evil activities from having any effect on our lives.    Acts 16:22-40 revealed the benefit of midnight prayer when Paul and Silas...
