Home lost its pillar Israel was a home beautified with pure gold, and its beauty attracted their beholders. God did it in a way that nations admired them due to their worth because what God beautified them with made them costly and unaffordable. Also, Israel was small in population, but nations were afraid of them and could not stand them in battle because of the strength from the pillar of their lives. God was not just at home with them, but He was their pillar and the very source of their strength, victory, wealth, and popularity that their enemies were unable to stop them even Balaam testified to that in Numbers 23. But Israel’s enemy did not give up until they destabilized and stopped the pillar of Israel from protecting them in Numbers 25:1-5 .
