What does the Bible say about playing with sin?

Image
Immediately, man ate from the Tree of Knowledge of good and evil; he became exposed to sin. It was a fruit to man when he saw it and ate from it, but in his body, it was a virus that was to fight against good by exposing the kind of knowledge unknown to him. Not that God did not tell him about the consequences of eating from the tree, but he was caught by the web of his ambitious desire to play with sin knowing fully well the implications, and his act of disobedience to God's instructions rendered him incapacitated over sin and satan. Genesis 2:15-17;3   Have you wondered why many Christians sin knowing fully well the disastrous end of sinners? Those kinds of Christians will say that God is merciful and just to forgive them whenever they sin against Him, which makes them comfortably and repeatedly continue sinning against God. Also, they do say that grace covers a multitude of sins which is another means to continue sinning and let Grace do her work, while the team of weaker...

What does it mean to feed on God’s word ?

Image
A feed and appetite of God’s word    In Genesis 2:8-9, God sowed His word as a seed in Eden and the germination of His word produced proteinous food healthy for the red blood cells and also became the protein in the red blood cells. So, God took man to Eden because He knew it was the only place life could be given longevity on earth. After all, the food in Eden was the word meant to nurture and oxygenate the very word that worked to form man. He knew it was not just about His word but His son (Jesus Christ) existing through His word to instruct man to feed on the word in Genesis chapter 2:16 because He wanted man to have the undying nature of His son.    God placed the first man He created through His word to consume His word to have a long life on earth. It was not just an ordinary word because the word has so many abilities depending on a particular thing it is assigned to do in John 1:1-4, God made it clear that He is His word and His word is Him, and what proves ...

Purpose discovery and maximization

Image
It is not everything that we all know and can do as humans, and because we do not know or cannot do it all makes God Supreme over us all. We know there is a purpose to why we exist, but what we do not know is what that purpose is because almost all of us are yet to discover our purpose which makes us confused about our lives, about who we are and are to become without any definite explanation or answer to the purpose of our existence. And out of the confusion of not discovering our purpose, most of us made choices that ruined them for life.   From this teaching, we will know how to discover our purpose and maximize it for the benefit of us, our generation, and for God's kingdom's advancement.  Note: To begin the journey of purpose discovery is something we can not do without God, because to know and work towards it is another different thing altogether.  How do we discover our purpose?   How do we expect to discover what we vividly do not know? T...

Do Christians cry?

Image
Every human being is wired with emotions by God that no matter how strong a person is, when a situation warrants crying hit the person so hard, he will cry. So, it is not meant only just for Christians to cry but for every human being. But, a Christian cries for two reasons, which are:  A cry through brokenness     A thirteen-year-old Emma graduated from elementary school with so much excitement because it has always been his dream to go to high school. After all, he wants to have an experience of all or, if possible, most of the things his sister told him about high school. Unfortunately, due to his family's financial distress made his dream almost impossible for him. He had no choice but to stay back at home while his mates were in school but was hoping for the day his parents would raise money to send him back to school, he waited for days to weeks and months but nothing happened.    But on one faithful Friday evening, he was so heartbroken that t...

Who is the accuser in the book of Job?

Image
Even without being told, we already know who Job's accuser is(Job 1:6-12), but our major concern should be what this same accuser is doing in our generation today. The majority of us might not be sensitive enough to know that the same accuser is never tired of accusing us before God, because he wants to gain free access in our lives probably to destroy us and our destinies.   This accuser is so cunning and manipulative that he can go to any length to dig out solid evidence against someone. He can dig into a person's bloodline or even lure the person into crime and use it to accuse the person in the throne room of God. When he succeeds, then the person exists without achieving or fulfilling any purpose throughout his lifetime if Christ did not come through for the person.    Can you imagine he was so envious of Job's accomplishments and achievements that even though God was praising Job for his steadfastness, dedication, and commitment to service, he was busy ...

What can unforgiveness do to you?

Image
Unforgiveness has led friends, families, communities, and even nations into unpleasant situations. Hatred and bitterness have replaced a friend's love and good intentions for a fellow friend, while families that once lived in harmony turned their homes into a war zone. Communities that supported each other are now selfishly fighting for something they once shared in love, and nations that helped boost each other's economic growth are now pronounced enemies all because none is willing to forgive the other.   We have several times made statements like "I will never forgive you or You do not deserve my forgiveness" , and most of us went as far as writing down those hurting things done to them somewhere to always remember, but if we can tell ourselves the truth that since the day we choose to hold on to those grudges we also became prisoners of ourselves and happiness. The fact that we are human beings means there will always be an offense because it is part of what ke...

Why is the tongue so powerful?

Image
The tongue is a small organ of the body, but it is very powerful because the fate of a man, whether to live or die, to fulfill or unfulfill his destiny lies on the tongue. Proverbs 18:21    Also, an agreement, covenant, or oath becomes validated through the declaration of the mouth which what most people call problems, circumstances, or situations they are going through in life is the effect of a spoken word either from them or from someone against them.   What are your confessions about yourself and the people around you? In case you do not know, word travels in the spirit, and that is why it is powerful because: 1. God created heaven and earth and everything therein through His spoken word in Genesis 1 and 2. Immediately, He thought of it and spoke about it, and it came to pass. Secondly, He revealed the importance of His word in Isaiah 55:11 to tell us how His word travels. All He did was just say it, and it took effect immediately.    God’s word trave...
